Self esteem ties in tightly with attachment and while reading this I couldn’t help but think that it remains mysterious to the adults you’re talking to. Spelling out simple tools like active listening and avoiding power-based reactions like “bc I said so “ in place of encouraging curiosity are implied, but if the adults I know are any indication, I think they’ll miss it. I’m just suggesting making explicit the things that they can do to practice being supportive, despite their best intentions.
